On the 26th of November 2011 in La Laguna the "Noche en Blanco", meaning "Night in white" and an event full of cultural open-air activities, will be celebrated for the 3rd time. In the last two years the "Noche en Blanco" was so successful that the 3rd edition will provide 50% more activities than in the previous years. Furthermore, the Universidad of La Laguna and several highschools are going to take part in the festivities and offer this way additional parking spaces for the visitors. This way more visitors than in the first two years will have the possibility to take part in the event. Also, the public buses will augment their services during the night, in order to provide the best conditions for the asistance for the people.
With this street festival, beginning at 11am and ending late during the night, La Laguna starts officialy into Christmas. Entertainment for kids, adults and teenagers will be provided during the "Noche en Blanco." Compared to the previous years, this time the schedule will be amplified in order to provide better conditions to families with young children. As the streets are full of people in the evening the program will start this year already in the morning, so that families can assist as well.
The final agenda of the event will be announced on the 24th of November, nevertheless, what is already for sure is that the activities will be creative and in regard to the theme "the five senses." The establishments of La Laguna have been invited to participate and the cultural centres of the city will be open for the public on that day. The event takes place at the same location as in the previous years, including the Plaza del Cristo.
